The summer of 1924 puts a chaotic Lauchlan on a collision course when he meets the rigid librarian Kreszenz Noll as he conducts research into the Somatic Ledgers. Desperate to save his friend Bastet from her cosmic fate, he hopes an answer lies in the Ledgers. At the same time, Lauchlan is haunted by dreams of the Sun and Moon colliding in an apocalyptic event. He fears that he's in a race against the clock to save Bastet, and even Kreszenz, not knowing the price of doing so could cost him everything.
